Updated: Jun 23

It is with great sadness that we learned yesterday of the passing of Rex Woodgate.

Rex worked in motorsport for such luminaries as Stirling Moss and HWM before joining the Aston Martin factory in the early 50's. He was pivotal in the building of some of the most famous Aston Martin racing cars for which he became the world authority.

For many years he ran the AML operations in North America. His energetic approach unquestionably keeping the AML name pre-eminent US.

He was also a regular competitor in AMOC events driving his trusty and familair DB4 GT for countless years.

A full tribute detailing his extraordinary life will appear in the Summer issue of AM Quarterly.

The Club sends it's sincere condolences to all the Woodgate family.
