AMOC Announces 2022 Race Calendar

Competition is at the very core of the AMOC with a long and rich history. Encouraging and supporting racing was a founding objective of the Club in 1935. Whilst times have undoubtedly changed in the 87 years since, be it entry level track days, speed events or full circuit racing, competition remains a core member benefit. Much like motorsport itself, times are fast moving and none more so than at Club level. The last two seasons of 2020 and 2021 have proven that over a national level.

Our aim is to provide as many opportunities as possible for members to race in each of our race series throughout the season.

Since it’s formation under the direction of the highly experienced and well-respected Richard Culverhouse in 2018, the Classic & Modern Motorsport Club (CMMC) has grown steadily. Notably so during the last two, difficult seasons. Richard, a former AMOC Competitions Secretary is well placed to understand the needs of AMOC competitors allied to the current market.

We are therefore pleased to announce that AMOC and CMMC will be working together this season to provide races for AMOC members.

Our provisional calendar for the 2022 season is as follows:

Combined Jack Fairman and Innes Ireland Series competitors:

  • April 23rd – Snetterton – 20 min race

  • May 22nd Mallory Park - 2 x 15 min races

  • June 4th – Donington – 20 mins (possibly 30 mins)

  • *July 17th – Silverstone (National) – 2 x 20 mins (possibly longer)

  • August 13th – Silverstone (National) – 20 min race

  • We are currently negotiating a race in September/early October that won’t not clash with Goodwood and/or Spa.

Combines Aston Martin GT4, GT and Intermarque Challenge Series competitors:

  • Castle Combe – June 11th (2 x 20 mins or possibly 40 mins) – subject to confirmation.

  • We are negotiating for at least one more event in August/September.

  • At Silverstone on July 17th Aston Martin will be the favoured British marque at Aston/British/American themed event.
